Godfather update: rank - capo

My video game life of crime is starting to pay off and i'm getting more and more impressed with their well thought out storylines within this game. they stick to the movie's script but intelligently expand on things that are taken for granted in the movie. the theme song is stuck in my head in all it's variations.

she stopped paying her cable bill yay!

over the last 10 or so years i've become a bitter man because people are doing things that i was forced to do growing up.

your a vegetarian, wow!!! I didn't eat meat until i was 15. people couldn't pronounce the word back then and when you explained it they would would ask curiously stupid questions like: "soooo, what DO you eat?" *blank stare* now it's the Thing and vegetarians talk with faux self assuredness as to how much smarter they are and to think of all the cow families that are together because of them.

another one of many is not watching tv. i wasn't allowed to watch even the cosby show growing up though tv's where owned in the houses i lived. nothing. my great plan was to listen to the plots of shows in one class and respond in the next class. *sigh* well i was on tailrank and noticed this big deal (though i do respect it) of this lady deciding to turn off her cable bill.

I'm a made man!

nothing much going on here at the ldef office folks i'm hoping that today the true signs of spring can kick in and make my life a little warmer. my latest addictions have been daxter for psp which i'm entitled to state is the best game i've played on the psp. my other addiction(s) has been obsessively reorganizing my computer (my new desktop picture above) and playing the godfather (c) title. i've been approaching looking for a job in a more 'direct' way by calling up companies and telling the point blank that they need to hire me, i'll let you know how that comes out.

i went to see the swedish premire of inside man on monday night and officially flushed spike down the toilet. he needs to move to cananda or something to get his mojo back and the needless forcing of race related issues... meh.

god only knows (c) the Beach Boys

this song is my new obsession, along with netnewswire, thanks to big love which affirms my conviction that life as a pologimst is the farthest thing from dope. sopranos was ridic and yesterday i spent my free time in class preaching about born in brothels

God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you

born into brothels

this weekend i finally saw last year's docu oscar winner and was blown away, or should i say that something blew into my eyes along the way. those kids were some of the most photogenic kids i've ever seen and the way that they pulled you into the store was amazing. it's scary to know that there are kids, right now, living with so little options. *sigh*

i also saw the smartest guys in the room and the pure evil that greed breeds scared the shit out of me. it's hard to comprehend how people can't accept enough as enough. enron actual caused the cali blackouts of 2000? to make money? that's nightmarishly creepy.

.....

yesterday was apple's "big" announcement and if you've been a trusty reader of this here blahg then you'd know of the ldef's staff's full appreciate and cult like worship well yesterday they didn't really amaze many. they announced that there is a new intel based mac mini but it lacks a tv in (which allows you to record) and the price went up. that kills off the hope that the intel move would lower prices on mac machines and removes me from one who's going to spring for a mini to replace everything but the tv at the ldef headquarters... they also announcement an ipod hi fi ($349) which had me hit the snooze button not to mention a $99 leather ipod case i.e. fuck that. i my honest opinion they used up some of their wow capital in that boring announcement yesterday though i'd put money on 'BIG' changes for their april fools day 30th anniversary changes. i would like to see a full screen video ipod and cheaper intel based ibook.

in totally unrelated news i read touching this article on the last days of jay dee.

my power animal

does anyone know how to stop your power animal from eating up stuff in your dreams? i'm kinda tired of seeing bite marks in my dreams and little pieces floating around. also i think that my power animal has an overbite and if you know of a good power animal vet/dentist please refer me to them.

thank you.

the brokeback theory

brokeback mountain destroys the white male's last bastion of masculinity, the cowboy. if you were to ask any male over the age of 50 what picture pops up in his head as heterosexual masculinity at it's peak you'd hear things like john wanye and clint eastwood characters'. they'd tell you of watching some movie in the theater where the main characters rode off into the sunset with his trusted companion. with the introduction of brokeback mountain one can no longer assume that the hero cowboy and his companion's sunset trips to the wild, for months at a time, allot that they're only riding horses.

funny 'learn english' commercials

this and this one.

let me know what you think.

i was looking through my old blog

and came on this piece of ldef advice pre 2004 elections:

Thursday, 9 September 2004

I've decided to help Christan's out and hurry along the Second Coming. I mean, you've been going to church doing all this damn good but still no blazing trumpets and squashed evildoers. vote for Bush. He'll speed up the last days and take away all religious rights, basically any rights (for security reasons of course) enacting a worldwide government in which, according to Revelations, will bring about the end of the world the POW! your in heaven butt naked with a pet lion and gold sidewalks. damn I'm smart. VOTE for Bush!

btw God told me that, he tells me things all the time (football is his favorite sport btw) because he knows I will vote for bush.

your welcome

blue rose

today is vday in the ldef head office and i've sprung the high, high price of $2.95 for CNN's Pipeline. since we don't have CNN here i thought that it would be a helpful thing to be able to see live broadcasting and i'm quite happy about this choice. 'specially since menace to society dick cheney of the white house crips blastfest is a very great source of live feeds. they just announced that the 78 multimillionaire lawyer that got blasted had a heart attack... one of the doctors said that 'heart attack' is a 'lay man' term and this was what's called a soft heart attack" hammy. Dude even got irritated stating that he was smarter than everyone there and obviously couldn't handle the pressure of having the press ask him or his associate questions which annoy his smartnesstivity.

i really enjoy this.

Blastmaster Cheney

you've probably heard the staff here at ldef refer to vp dick cheney in various negative terms such as "satan". welp satan moved up in my book, just a little bit ahead of stalin, with the news reports of his shotgun action while "hunting" this weekend :-) dear readers it seems that satan reads this blog and took to heart the dueling post. keep up the good work cheney and somebody keep him armed please.

the lost art of dueling

upon much reflection i have come to the conclusion that aristocratic duels need to be reinstated. as barbaric as people view it they seem to forget that there a great advantage to this art which, if you don't mind me stating bluntly is: rich people killing each other. thus thinning out the 'untouchables' and making the world a better place.

thank you for your consideration

when should you throw in the towel?

what is the point where it's definitive to throw said towel in and get out of the fight? since life related things usually aren't of the broken bones, blurred vision and a constant flow of padded gloves heading for your torso and cranium (not to mention the absense of a cornerman) the question of when wraps itself deep with in life's constant enigma.

just a thought.

i'm addicted to google news

and a few moments ago i stumbled across this sony announcement that they were discontinuing those little robotic dogs called AIBO. The article mentioned that there were forums for AIBO owners and being a psp owner myself i just clicked on it to see what they were talking about there.... well *cough* i'm not judging but it's a rather interesting way of looking at a robot dog when you use adjectives like "LOVE" and everyone's signature has the names (full sometimes) of there little robotic dogs. check it out here.

'whatever floats your boat' right?

btw the outkast movie was pushed back, again. honestly since i'm over here the worst pain for me is that we won't get this damn album in our hands if they kept pushing back the movie and i want that album. btw what ever happened to the hbo movie with andre' playing a undertaker?

blue/gray & in between

a clue is what i don't have today as to why i'm in such of a blahish mood. there really isn't a great reason and since i have refused to subscribe to the 'holiday myth' since the late 80's i doubt it's the regular holiday let down/january blues. maybe it's the lack of focus, though focusing is what i'm constantly doing, or just the fact that today's (and tomorrow's) workload is the equivalent of... sorry today's lack of interest in all things doesn't allow snarky metaphors. anyhoo though i'd share, though this coming saturday night brings some light in this dark nordic winter (see redskins below). eh, i'm out.

Hail to the Redskins

how strange for me to do a wrap up without screaming at the top of my lungs that MY washington redskins are heading to the playoffs after a 5 week winning streak (making us the hellishly hottest team in in the nfl). first up to beat the crap out of is tampa, please watch and learn people..

early

happy 2006, christmas etc. i'm up at early, again wondering why the hell my body feels the need to place it's awake version above sleep mode at 5 am the last few mornings. since i've fallen off, yet again, i feel duty calls for a quickie wrap up.

went to nyc. it was cold, very cold. jet lag made me consider the good points of suicide and taxi rides (when you can effin' get one). chilled with will and introduced niklas to nyc. the concert was a sucess, both of them. missed the wifey and had horrible internet connectivity -- which sucks since one of my duties was to write a nyc blog for desofo (www.desofo.com) but that was more than far fetched since i got to know my yahoo mobile mail to respond to the emails that i could get. on the way back tried to switch plane tickets with someone who came with us. it was pretty simple I flew to Copenhagen then to Newark on the way up because i went to coworkers. on the way back i wanted to fly to stockholm instead of wasting 3 hours before getting to stockholm since that evening i was flying up to wifey's parents and jet lag needs to be treated like an adult. well tried with every branch of SAS and 5 mins before takeoff they gave said that they couldn't switch tickets but they'd bump me up to business class. no descriptions but intercontinental travel and i no longer look at each other the same.

flew up to wifey's the same day and worked off jet lag in the timewarp room that we stay in. christmas was eh and we left the next day for a bus *gag* trip back home to stockholm. cramped and it smelled like feet with all the fresh snow on the ground making it worse. got home and woke up to THE FLU for which i had the whole next week that i got here (thus blanking me out for a month). i'm still coughing, coughed right through new years btw but feel much better now thank you.

oh, we went and saw Narnia on thursday night and let's just say that they took appealing to the christian audience a little to seriously. it came off claustrophobic and unevenly paced whereas it should have been epic and flowing. the christian factor had it so halmark-y.

now to figure out why the hell i keep waking up so damn early.
